And while they do serve breakfast all day, I do think it a titch "old school" and arrogant to charge $2. more for the same food after a certain time. Their lunch and dinner menu's are surprisingly extensive, but if you are of a mind for something other than the standard choices for breakfast, go elsewhere. I was feeling somewhere between their "Original Breakfast" @ $3.99 and their "Hearty Breakfast" @ $6.99. They offer nothing in between, so I checked out their sides. And just about snorted coffee out of my nose. For 3 pieces of bacon it is an additional 3 bucks! For 5 or so pieces of potato, 2 bucks! Now I know why they charge $3.99 for the Original. All in all there was nothing wrong with the food, just the portion size. 2 small eggs, 2.5 slices bacon, 5 little pieces potato and a slice of toast. While I may have been stressed out, the doctors and staff made me feel that my dog was in good hands. And indeed he was. The level of hands-on care was exemplary. All of our dogs (and birds) have gone to this hospital for their health care and all of our pets have lived long and healthy lives. It can be noted that their costs are higher than the average pet hospital, but as with all things, you get what you pay for. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? They also somehow manage to mangle a passable breakfast sandwich and rarely get your coffee order right. Avoid this franchise if you want to feel good about yourself after you leave and dont want to feel like you need a shower! Im sure Tim is spinning in his grave over this one. 	2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. The pizza gets a 10 in my opinion, because... Moe Atallah knows pizza. THE BEST IN OTTAWA!! Some come close, but this is the yardstick that all other pies should be measured. Moe even has designer choices (I guess being located in Westboro will eventually rub off on you - lol). Great place for typical North American breakfasts, with healthy choices as well. The other menu items are well prepared and as good as can be from this type of establishment. Care is taken in your food, and it shows, no matter how simple the fare. If you dont go for the food, go for the atmosphere and the people. Walking into the restaurant you swear you've just walked into a 70's style diner. You also get to be entertained by all the neat stuff they have on the walls regarding Elvis. What started out as a little fun has turned into an official Elvis Sighting Society that does fundraising. As well, the roadway behind the restaurant is officially called "Elvis Lives Lane". You can tell the staff enjoy working there and is obviously "extended family". The smiles and great service you get from the front door to the cheque tells you that. Beyond that, ever since they expanded they have lost the heart and soul that was "The Mekong". What a collossal drag as this was my favourite Vietnamese restaurant. I recommend this place. One of the best in town if you like fully loaded pizza (read: not laden with chi-chi or trendy toppings) with real ingredients and real cheese. Typical greasy spoon diner otherwise. The food has always been awesome and you just know that its family run. The staff have obviously taken Courteous Service 101 because it shows in everything they do. If you're expecting a greasy spoon meat/eggs/potato type breakfast with low quality products and price to boot, dont come here. What you can expect at Cora's is a fast paced, boisterous place with a really upbeat atmosphere. Granted this isnt for everyone first thing in the morning, but if you are able to think outside of the box for breakfast this is the place for you. For a few dollars more than the average, the focus on healthier choices, like fruit as a filling garnish and choices other than the standard faire is nice and balances well with the more traditional typical things they do serve. The eggs "Ben et Dictine" is some thing I love. I have had this 3 times now and is to die for. There is little variance in the size and quality and always comes looking mostly the same. From this, I assume I have received approx. what their test kitchen conceptualized as this dish. Very tasty. The sauce did not have that hint-o-flour that can ruin a good Hollondaise, the ham was thickly sliced and it arrived plated nicely. My friend had the crepes and found them perfect. After trying this restaurant approx. 10 times, with the same order, they got it correct an exact total of TWICE. It wasnt an overly difficult order (toasted sesame bagel, smoked salmon, cream cheese, onion and capers), and they still couldnt get it right! When I later called to complain I was told (get this!...) that there was no one in charge there that I could talk to. No manager, no boss, nobody! I actually had to ask for clarity in what the girl meant as I couldnt quite believe what I was hearing. This is the type of service that is becoming all to common these days. Staff that doesnt care enough to listen to a persons order, nor take any type of pride in actually completing said task. I am more than willing to give a place the benefit of the doubt every once in a while, but when a situation is repeated 80% of the time, this is then indicative of the type of business it really is.
