Poissonnerie Lapointe - November 6, 2006
4 out of 9 people found this review helpful. If you're looking for a fish and seafood store this is THE place to go. Staff is knowledgable and stock is fresh. Your options are open - have it cleaned, filleted or otherwise prepped there or take it home whole. Either way you will not be dissapointed.
I recommend this place.

Barrymores - November 6, 2006
6 out of 7 people found this review helpful. This centrally located, happenin' place is one of the best live music venues and dance clubs in this city. Their calendar is worth bookmarking and I hope to see you there.

If you're going I highly recommend dressing warm as they like to have a line up outside to make the placde look cool. Expect to wait even if the place jsut opened or isn't full yet.

I recommend this place.

Rainbow Bistro - November 5, 2006
3 out of 8 people found this review helpful. There isn't much in the way of food, in fact I'm not even sure if they have muchies. The drinks typical for a bar and don't expect fru fru trendy drinks with cute names. The cover charge is reasonable and the atmosphere is what you'd expect for a blues or jazz bar. Theres, a balcony to better view the stage, a pool table, a barstool seating and a roomy, wooden dancefloor.
If you're looking for Jazz & Blues, then this place is where you want to be!

I recommend this place.

Kettleman's Bagel CO - November 5, 2006
6 out of 9 people found this review helpful. This place is a traditional, family-owned bake shop and bagel bakery, open 24 hours a day. Their bagel's are old Montreal style, meaning that all their bagels are hand-rolled and baked on planks in a wood-burning oven. They have every possible imaginable bagel "accessory" (lox, salmon, cream cheese, etc.) to go along with their fourteen kinds of bagels plus drinks, soups and sandwiches. You can sit down and munch in their cozy eatery or take them home. For those who drive, they have parking, which makes it easy to do a stop in.
I recommend this place.

Sausage Kitchen Inc - November 5, 2006
5 out of 8 people found this review helpful. One of my favorite places in "the market", just the scent of the place is enough to make you drool! Whether you are getting groceries or having a meal from their counter, you can't go wrong. I recomend trying their baccon, which has such an exceptional smokiness to it. Trying their sausage is an absolute MUST, after all they've chosen to name themselves after this item - not to mention the countless awards.
I recommend this place.
