If you bring in your own conatiners and take yours to the cash while empty, they'll weigh them and you can fill them there at the store. No muss, no fuss, no transferring when you get home and no wasted containers. Oh, and if you're ever wondering what to do with those pesky plastic bags that you get from other stores. I'm told you're welcome to bring them there and they're reuse them. NOT the best for produce per say... for that I go to a spot in the byward but this place has become more of a community gatehring place for the like minded. Their bulletin board and staff are a great resource to be utilized for help. I recommend this place.

	1 out of 3 people found this review helpful. A bit of a landmark as these things go; it's been around at least as long as me. Bears little resemblance to contemporary supermarket health food stores -- it's on the small side for a grocery store. Large enough for the purpose, though, and _reasonably_ low on the nonsense "diet pills" &c that seem to clutter up a lot of natural foods places. Nice lefty vibe, though sometimes, darn it all, you just want double-bagged plastic with no questions asked. OK bulk selection -- best in town, though, for (see name...) bulk herbs and spices. I recommend this place.
