A great place to live near, and worth a drive if you don't...
There's a good deli counter; the dairy case has some less popular top-notch brands, the produce is almost always about as good as you can get, good bakery section, and a browse-worthy selection of groceries (some staples, some truffle oil).
The real stand-out for me is the take-away section; if you can't decide on a restaurant on Elgin, go here, and eat in the park. A wide selection, from deli staples to Indian foods. All excellent. The fruit salad should appeal to even those who dislike fruit.
Not bargain shopping, but reasonable -- well worth it for the quality. The staff is friendly and helpful, too.
I recommend this place.
