Folks,
First off - I never write reviews... I was looking for the phone number of this optical store and came across this review page and decided I 'HAD' to say something...
Being black person living in Ottawa, I experience crappy service (bordering on hostile) almost every day... If you share my skin-tone (as I can only attribute the stark difference in service to that), you know what I'm saying!
The guy who runs this shop is EXTREMELY KIND, PERSONABLE & PROFESSIONAL. The kind of service you wish you encountered EVERYWHERE!!! Not only are his prices very good (on par with Walmart...), but the service, the service... I stopped buying my contact lenses here a few years ago due to a change in work location, etc. and ended up, by chance, popping back in one day to simply check his prices. Not only, after two years, did he remember he (by NAME!!!!), but made me feel like I was his best customer. He didn't have a box of contacts in my perscription, but GAVE me a trial pair with a smile just so that I could try them out (a brand/type that was new to me). After that brief stop, I resolved to give him ALL of my optical business. Buddy deserves it.
One of those hidden gems of a place that we should all be supporting. This is the way it should be!
I recommend this place.
