When we first walked in to ask about the smart car 2 years ago, we were immidiatly treated as if we were idiots for wanting to look at a car that wasnt a REAL mercedes. I was trying to ask questions about it, what are the crash test results, how is it on insurance, what are the details of the warranty, etc etc and then he turned to me and told me to "not worry my pretty little head about such things" and continued talking to my fiance! That was it, we left, drove home, to Petawawa, 2 hours away, and purchased the car, that day, (and I bought a second brand new car for myself on a whim :) ) from Petawawa Toyota, where the service was excellent and they answered all of my questions. Petawawa Toyota ALSO called Olgilvie and got an apology from the salesman and the general manager for the way were were treated. Now, 2 years later, I was lead to believe a certain service was paid for when I called roadside assistance, that comes with the smart. (I would have had the car towed to a local garage and had the service performed, and they wouldnt be the wiser, instead of paying the outrageous fees) But the smart roadside told me everything was covered. So I had my car towed 2 hours to olgilvie,, a couple of days later I went to pick it up and was presented with a bill. I told them politely there was a mistake, and explained the situation. The head salesman was rude and said that was absolutely impossible and walked away from me! I, of my own initiative, called the 1-800 number for customer service, from the dealership to get to the heart of the mistake, soemthing he should have been doing, not me. They lost any record I had of me calling the smart roadside! Obviously I had because it had gotten there! Then I lodged a complaint with the customer service representive about how I had been treated! I was referred to the General Manager Arnie Jr. We were in the sitting area when the head sales man came up to me and very rudely said that he just called the field manager and had my warranty cancelled! I tried to ask him why and he kept interrupting me. I said "thank you for interrupting me but just listen, I know people who did the same thing with thier car, but worse and their warranty was not cancelled" he said that we should have left it alone, the lodging a complaint, and it wouldnt have happened! Now I am still finding out what is going on! STAY AWAY FROM OGILVIE, STICK WITH STAR MOTORS! I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Horrible service, the person we dealt with was Arnie Mierens, this man should not be dealing with customers ANYWHERE! Mr. Mierens was rude and sarcastic toward us to the point that we left the dealership, drove all the way across town to Star Motors on Hunt Club and purchased outside of our community. We will also make the drive for service and will never again set foot inside of Ogilvie Motors. Unprofessional, rude and arrogant would best describe this dealership. We have also learned that this person actually owns multiple dealerships in the Ottawa area, a friend of ours has an Acura from CAMCO and informed us they are also owned by "Arnie Mierens" as well as Civic Motors Honda and Elite BMW, Ogilvie Subaru....and who knows what others....Buyer Beware.
