I enjoyed my shopping at Hartman's grocer. There was a tall british chap there that answered all my questions. Very polite and nice. Gave excellent customer service which this store is known for. I think he is a new staff member as I haven't see him there before. Nice to see new staff members adopting this!
I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |

Hartman's is so much better than what it used to be, but i am starting to get strong concern about the quality of service that we, customers are now getting. New staff are so rude that i am considering more and more shopping somewhere else. Apart from Crystal who seems to be very pleasant, polite and professional, all the other staff seem to not know how to say hello, please and thank you. The Asian lady at the cashier is also very good each time to avoid making eye contact and not saying a word to me. I wonder if she actually knows how to speak. So yeap, the quality of customer service is getting very, very, very low and the prices are getting very, very, very high. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? I shop there everyday and up until yesterday I thought there service was excellent when I witnessed a man in a wheelchair being physically assaulted by an employee by the name of Brice. I am not sure I want to return there.

Bah humbug, kmennie! Hartman's may not be a haven for organic local produce or indeed cater successfully to self-styled epicures, but it sure beats trying to stock the larder by shopping at the local convenience/lottery/cigarette store. Hartman's is one of the only decent full-size grocery stores accessible to those living downtown, and who through choice or circumstance cannot drive to the suburbs. And being entertained while shopping by a local musician tinkling the ivories is quite a nice touch too!

Kudos to Hartman's, sort of, for pushing me towards car ownership! Their combination of lousy brands with middling-to-high prices is a winner. Nuts to gourmets and bargain-seekers; this place puts the "super" in supermarket, what with its miles of nationally advertised brands, which are...nationally advertised, priced as such, and which would be unlikely to sell at all if they weren't so heavily advertised. For a real taste treat, try the 'ethnic' food sections here! Plenty of "Chinese" sugar sauce, and "Mexican" tomato sauce... Sure to be a winner when combined with the mediocre produce, too.
