An odd location for a fine store; this part of Bank Street is pretty seedy these days, and this is a very nice place. Needed, too, after an earlier (and less impressive) Bank St purveyor of buttons went out of business. If there are other places in the city to buy ones, and fabrics you'd actually want to spend time doing something with, I don't know it. http://www.darrellthomas.com/ gives a good overview.
