	0 out of 0 people found this review helpful. Zak's Diner, an authentic 50's style diner, conveniently located in the heart of Ottawa's lively ByWard Market. Yes, the theme has been done to death and it’s a bit kitschy but they’ve been around for 20 years so its not corporate, conceived nostalgia. Its vintage and authentic. If a milkshake is your think I highly recommend trying their ‘Famous Thick Milk Shakes’ that are made with premium ice cream. My personal fave is the Banana/chocolate that’s best shared if you’re going to eat as well but if its just a stop off for the shake guard that thing and keep it to yourself as you’ll find that as soon as you let others ‘try it’ it will disappear fast! The menu is extensive and typical diner fare and what you’d expect to find. I usually have the Special Club and a milkshake and to be honest it’s a meal for two. I recommend this place.
