	0 out of 0 people found this review helpful. I was offered a job at Bellas and was located and still working as a chef in Montreal. I proposed doing a brunch there and they wanted this to happen. The job and the salary i had asked for was approved by the management/owners. I left my job in Montreal, moved to Ottawa, started working and created the brunch menu with items that I had on my menu when i owned and operated a restaurant here in Ottawa. After the first run of the brunch my next shift began and i was pulled aside to told that they couldn't afford to pay me the wage they had agreed upon, and was offered a much much lower hourly rate. Since i spent quite a bit to move here and get settled i had no choice but to accept the offer for now with the intention of looking for more employment. When i stated ok i will accept the offer i was then told that there was no place for me. If this is the way people do business then they should not be in business. I have yet to be paid and yet to receive my separation slip from this establishment. I have 30 years experience and red seal, have ran and operated food and beverage departments in 5 new york hotels, so i know it wasn't from lack of experience. I do not recommend this place.

I had organized a party at this restaurant, 3 days before the party was to be held, they called me to cancel the reservation, due to an error on the part of their staff. The owner was not acoomodating at all, and really put me in a bind. The way they treated their customer in this situation is not acceptable. I do not recommend this place.

	3 out of 4 people found this review helpful. Really good food. Servers were attentive. Kitchen was slow. My business partner paid for the meal. As he was dissatisfied with the pace of the meal, and so the tip was poor. He should have complained to the owner instead of penalizing the server who did a great job. What came next was amazing. I, a co-diner was confronted at the door - BY THE OWNER - for leaving a lousy tip. It was complete with shouting and all sorts of histrionics. It embarassed me, my family, other diners etc. It was then that I realized my business partner's faux pas. I returned the next day to pay the server properly and the owner refused to appologize for what was a completely inapporoptiate display and in my opinion a total lack of class. I will never return to what was a favorite restaurant. I do not recommend this place.
