The basement location adds to the atmosphere of this pay and eat style restaurant. The food is tasty even if it does border on the commercial Mexican feel. Not the most romantic place to eat... but good enough for a first date.

I’m not thrilled with the basement cafeteria-style location that’s sometimes on the noisy side. From time to time I miss the cheep and plentiful street style Mexican food I was able to get stateside and though this in some ways, is no where near that but it is the only thing that even comes close. In some ways its better and in some ways I miss the goo and grease, but I digress. The food there is fresh and flavourful and a help-yourself salsa bar is a ‘do not miss’. No ingredients were skimped on or overloaded, making for a very satisfying meal. I highly recommend going and experiencing the food. I just WISH they had some homemade beverages there, like; Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus Flowers), Horchata, Agua de Tamarindo (Tamarind) or some Café de Olla. I recommend this place.
