Salon Aird is an awsome Salon and I would go back and recommend this place to all of my friends. I also got my hair braided and I was charged the amount that I was quoted. When I called at first Mavis was honest and said that the price began at 100$ and up for braids as she needed to see how long I wanted it and how much hair I had. When I was finished, it was amazing. It took 5 hours and the braids were clean and neat. I gave her a 50$ tip because she deserved it and she actually bought me lunch during my stay. Thanks Mavis. NO wonder you have been opened for over 30 years. I already have an appointment to treat my hair in 3 months once I take out the braids. Mavis is honest, helpful and very cheerful. Salon Aird has an excellent atomosphere and it's beautiful inside. I would definitely recommend this Salon 100% to anyone wanting excellent service for their hair.

I am reviewing this salon so that other girls are not robbed the way I was. I wish I would have been warned before I went. Firstly I was charged 100.00 more than I was quoted and I was asked to pay mid way through my hair being braided so that Mavis could pay for her lunch. Secondly I was put aside numerous times in the day so that Mavis could get more customers in while I sat around and waited. Thirdly, the job was a quick one. The corn rows on the top of my head are not clean and were fuzzy from the moment I walked out, the braids were not braided to a quarter of the way down, the glue shows through the hair, the braids are so tight at the hair line that they are creating a rash but so loose after the knot at the hairline that they are unravelling. Furthermore, the braids in the middle of my head are three times the size of the corn rows on the top of my head and the braids at my neck line. I went back as I was unsatisfied and had to listen to racial slurs and was insulted and called names In my opinion Salon Aird is not concerned at all with customer satisfaction.
