I had a not so good experience there about a month ago and this is exactly how I was treated by the staff. Basically, if you don't like it go elsewhere....well let me tell you something Dante. If these people have an opinion about you or rinaldo's this site gives them the right to express it. I've never had a cut by you, don't know who you are, nor will I ever come back there again. I can say this though. If telling people to get a life is the way you go about doing business, then i can i assure you that you won't be moving very far ahead in life. Word travels very quickly, ESPECIALLY in Ottawa. I agree with the others, this place is far too noisy, tacky, overpriced and staff is RUDE. I do not recommend this place. Was this review helpful? 	9 out of 13 people found this review helpful. I was shocked when my 85 year old mother went to pay for her hair on Saturday. $278 dollars. She needed a cut and touch up but, her hair is just below the ears and did not need foils on top of her color. The hair dresser that she has been going to for over a year now Fareeba reminded me that if she had come at the beginning of the week she would have saved $20 on the cut. No one cares that the salon victimizes trusting elderly clients that very often get dropped off for appointments and just pay or take any service that is handed to them. 	6 out of 9 people found this review helpful. All i can say is all this hype about rinaldo's is so overrated. Cheesy atmosphere, cheesy employees, snobby service and bad results. I got a certificate to go there so i figured why waste it. I have my usual location i go to in Kanata called Blushes, where the service is excellent, my stylists are top notch and you actually feel like you're in a high quality salon. Never again will I step foot into a rinaldo's. My blowdry could have been done better at home! If anyone is looking for a stylist, see NADIA OR KATE at Blushes. You won't regret it! 	5 out of 6 people found this review helpful. I would like to start by saying ive had the best haircuts in my life by dante( client of his 3 years). Hes a genuinely a nice guy who take pride in his work since he is a perfectionist.He just came back training fom a toni & guy (beadhead) academie in Peurto Rico. He is exellent at puting texture and removing bulk from my hair. Ive seen some of his work and always impressed by his job> He a little reserved but easy to talk. Thanks alot Dante you the best!!!! 	9 out of 14 people found this review helpful. recent went to Rinaldo at Carlingwood found the owners really rude like they don't need clients, not even a smille, just wait or come back another day. the lady cutting my hair again no smille just complaning about having to wear black everyday. what a bad experience, like going to a morgue. why is everybody wearing black anyway? never again. 	7 out of 12 people found this review helpful. Anyone wanting to work at the elite RINALDO'S make sure that what is discused at the interview that you have it all in writing because what sounds good. Does not seem to clear when your paycheck arrives, if you are in morning it is a great place to work. because everyday is a black day. (wardrobe) I do not recommend this place. 	11 out of 14 people found this review helpful. I went to the Manotick location and liked my stylist. The cut she gave me was really nice (I have long hair). The estheticians, however, are particularily bad and completely lack personality. The manager or owner or whomever he is is rude and irritating as well. The surroundings are not relaxing or enjoyable and the people who work there really quite snobby and cold. When you pay alot of money for a service, you should be treated like royalty. 	12 out of 14 people found this review helpful. My first impression was "Wow! This place is so big!". The reception was ok. The girls did their job. Wanessa, was the highlight of my visit. No pun intended. She is very easy to talk to, was very attentive, meticulous, and I would go back to her in a heartbeat. The stylist, though, was really friendly, but the cut is bad. Bad bad bad. I haven't had a cut this bad in a long time! I am tempted to get my hair cut again. Tomorrow. It looks like I have some kind of duck tail flip in the back. What is that? I think I could have done a similar job, and I'm not a stylist! The scissors he used, when he was thinning out my hair, pulled and actually hurt me. I definitely would not go back to see him. He may be good at other styles, but he doesn't do short hair well. What a waste of money that was. As far as the atmosphere, for my taste it's too loud, too big, too busy to give it a cozy, warm and welcoming feel. There are about 80 people working there. Overall disappointing. I find that Rinaldo's has a great and very relaxing atmosphere, particularly at its World Plaza location. I did not notice any children, nor did I find it noisy (as mentioned in other reviews). I particularly recommend Victor for colour and my hair stylist also did an excellent job. I have also been to Rinaldo's at their new Carling location and found that it was nice, although some of the hairstylists are newer and pricey. 	15 out of 22 people found this review helpful. I have been going to Rinaldo's for almost 2 years. I am very happy with my colour technician (Zully). She is very attentive, meticulous, and will know exactly how to make your hair colour look fabulous. I have never been disappointed with her. I am quite reserved about recommending my hair stylist (Dante), however. He should not be working at Rinaldo's for the price the place charges! I have to walk him through the cut. He is very mechanical about cuts and lacks originality and skill. He knows how to use scissors, but not artistically. It feels like he just randomly woke up one day and said to himself "I want to cut people's hair." At $66 a cut plus tip, he is definitely not worth it. I have had much better sytlists at cheaper salons. I am actually considering finding a new salon because I am too embarrassed to go to another stylist at Rinaldo's. One more comment: The atmosphere at Rinaldo's is certainly not what you'd excpect from a salon of it's (supposed) calibre. It is quite loud, and lacks both class and luxury from both employees and decor. Many women bring their children, who start running around and yelling and must be looked after by the staff whose job is to look after customers. If any of these women are reading, here is a little advice from you: a beauty salon doesn't double as daycare - consider yourself lucky to be in Ottawa because if you'd be a customer of a salon of Rinaldo's reputation in NYC, your kids would be out the door in a second.
