I just went to Rinaldo's in Manotick this weekend to get my hair coloured and cut and let me just say surprisingly enough it was a great expierence. I used to go downtown to get my services done but the parking and the location became an inconcience. So I decided to try one of there other locations because of loyality. My colour was the best I have ever had and she changed my cut into a new style that looked fabulas. I was abit scared to change because I have had the same look for along time, but the stylist had just went on a cutting cousre and assured me that this would be a great new look for me. I loved it when it was all done. I would highly reccomed this place for people who are stuck in a rut and have had the same hairstyle since highschool!

Excellent salon. They maintain very high professional standards. I have been going there for many years and have always been treated very well and get a good cut. Apparently there are senior and junior stylists. If you want the best, then ask for it.

I went to the downtown Rinaldo's last weekend. What a mistake! Factory-like atmosphere. My hair colourist was behind schedule, so she rushed through my hair, which usually requires a long time because it is long. She didn't even bother to ask me what I wanted to do with the colour. She just assumed that I wanted to replicate the colour I already had. I did speak up eventually, but found the lack of her concern about my hair very disappointing given that it's her job. The girl who washed my hair was so distracted by talking to her friend who was also washing hair next to her, that I had water splashed on my face, and the back of my blouse was soaked. I had to use a blowdrier to dry my top. Instead of an apology or a sign of concern, she told me to hurry up because my stylist was also behind schedule and had other customers to attend to. I could not believe she actually said that! I believe that everyone deserves the same amount of attention, whether or not their stylist is behind on her other customers. When I go to a salon (especially an expensive one), I want to feel relaxed and pampered. There is none of that at Rinaldo's. It's a factory conveyor belt. The result: I wanted a simple trim for my hair cut. Instead, the stylist took it upon herself to layer my hair into choppy bits. When I told her that I didn't like that, she told me to trust her, and that she couldn't stop because she had to make it even on the other side. My search for a good salon in Ottawa continues.
