Slowly recovering from its loss when it stopped being the 'Museum of Man,' and the one in Hull took over that racket. Of note: this is a stunningly beautiful building. A few Sunday afternoon hours are not quite enough time -- it is best 'done' in two visits. Exhibits are fantastic for all but the most cynical children, and still of interest to adults. Some are looking a little shop-worn, but the content is still there. It lacks the flashy 'discoverorium!' showboating of some other similar museums, and, here, that's a plus -- quiet contemplation prevails over gaudy eye candy for the ADD-addled. I recommend this place. Was this review helpful? Yes | No | Report as Spam |
